David C Baton Rouge , LA November 24, 2024 Appliance: Model GE FS3000SPSS Doors locked in self clean power blew out thanksgiving has been saved by appliancepartspros com! When running the self clean mode, the 2 year old GE Double wall oven failed. The power shut off and the doors were locked. Had to use a coat hanger to jimmy the door latch locks open. Technician diagnosed as a bad control board and blown thermal fuse but he coudn't get the parts until after Thanksgiving, but told me what parts were needed. Having used AppliancePartsPros.com before, I knew I could get them to overnight the parts. Tech came the next day and replaced thermal high limit fuse and the main board and we are back in business. Self clean got too hot evidently and fried the limit switch and the control board. AppliancePartsPros.com has saved Thanksgiving. We have people traveling in from 3 states for Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving is saved! PRO TIP: Any repair tech or youtube wil tell you Self Clean is the number one cause of oven failure, don't use Self Clean. Read More...
