Description

This bottom door hinge supports the refrigerator door and serves as the pivot point for smooth opening and closing. Replacing a worn hinge restores proper alignment and sealing to help prevent door sagging and cooling loss. What it does:

• Supports the door's weight at the lower corner and maintains alignment
• Provides the pivot for opening/closing and reduces friction at the door base
• Wear can cause door sagging, rubbing/binding, or the door not closing fully

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and, if applicable, shut off water before starting
• Remove items from the door and have a helper support it during removal
• Remove the upper hinge to lift the door off the lower hinge; retain any shims/spacers
• Swap the hinge, transfer shims as found, align the door, tighten fasteners, and verify the gasket seals all around
