Michael D Port Orchard , WA May 31, 2026 Electrical power outage caused ge profile cook top to not work oven works but no burners Disassemble cooktop to access burners and control board. Check 2 fuses on board, both OK. Research problems on multiple websites determine that control board is bad. Board cost over 500.00. order control board. disassemble cooktop and replace board. Not a simple plug and play swap out. Label all wires and remove old board. install new board and reconnect all wiring. Set glass cooktop in place and secure with screws. plug in stove and check all burner operations. All ok. Complete install of cooktop and trim. Job complete.
