Dawn P Tallahassee , FL October 12, 2026 Error code 3 A service technician performed diagnostics and showed me the error code. He told me it was either the main control board (easier swap) or inverter board (more difficult to get to). He also told me to try swapping the main board first to see if that fixes it. I ordered both parts and found two YouTube videos (duct tape repair guy) for my husband to follow. Swapping the main board did not fix it, but swapping the inverter board did the job. Side note: after installing the main control board I used the small business card included in the package to get instructions for programming my washer’s personality. Read More... Daryl C Chesterfield , VA October 02, 2026 Appliance: General Electric Washer PFW870SPV0RS Ge frontload washer pfw870 codes 46 26 66 39 65 38 27 replaced pump and control board and then received 91 38 46 25 So after replacing the control board and pump, washer continued to experience intermittent problems. I gave up and called a service technician and they said because I had already made some repairs, they couldn't touch it. I had already suspected the inverter as apotential problem but self-tests of high speed spin were succcessful. The tech DID help me with troubleshooting but also agreed that the inverter could be at fault. Since I was back at the parts ordering phase once again, I grabbed both the door lock and inverter. Suprisingly, the inverter was much easier to replace than the online videos showed - did not need to remove the drum counterbalance to access nor did i need to remove the pump. Took only 20 minutes to swap inverter and door lock. Machine is code free now and working fine. Super helpful to have the parts show up next day!!
