Larry R Oak Lawn , IL March 16, 2015 Appliance: Model GE PROFILE WASHER MODEL WPRE6100G1WT Ge profile washer model wpre6100g1wt: the water did not stop filling the tub and it overflowed on to the floor luckily i noticed in time to turn off the power before it continued without stopping I discovered that the water pressure sensor was jammed in the far reset position (full clockwise) by a damaged control knob and that the sensor spring was not strong enough to return the knob/sensor to the max fill position and shut off the water. The control knob collar that fits on to the sensor shaft had broken and a small piece of the damaged plastic collar wedged against the front panel which caused the knob to stick in the reset position.
