The Main Knob is an OEM part for GE washers. It is the central control knob located at the top of the washer control panel that is used to power on the washer, select wash cycles, set temps, and choose options.
Symptoms of a bad Main Knob include:
Causes can be regular wear and tear over time, inadvertent impacts that damage the internal components, or failures in the electronic switch mechanisms located within the knob. As the main interface point for the washer controls, this knob needs to operate flawlessly.
