Description

The Knob Ss is an OEM part for GE electric cooktops. This stainless steel knob is responsible for controlling the temperature settings on one of the electric cooktop elements. 

Causes of a bad knob can include damage over time from high heat exposure, scratches or cracks in the knob material, or normal wear and tear from frequent use. 

Symptoms of a bad knob include:

  • The knob being loose and not staying securely in place when setting the temperature 
  • Difficulty turning the knob
  • Inaccurate or inconsistent temperature settings
  • Knob face or lettering fading or rubbing off

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
