Matthew H Kirkland , WA January 08, 2016 Appliance: Model JBP68M0M2BS The handle was bent so the latch kept locking the oven door regardless of handle position I replaced the latch and handle assembly. It's easy when you see how it goes together. Unscrew the two screws under the front edge of the stovetop, have a helper lift the stovetop up, unscrew the six screws holding the metal plate down and remove the plate, unplug the wires connected to the latch switch, and unscrew the two front screws holding the latch assembly in place. William S Mobile , AL January 27, 2015 Oven door lock error 1. Unplugged oven 2. Opened the top of the oven. 3. Unplugged the existing door lock. 4. Tested to make sure the error went away when turning on the oven. It did which meant that the issue was with the locking sensor switch. 5. Removed the brace over the door lock mechanism 6. Swapped part with the new one. 7. Plugged the door lock mechanism in. 8. Reinstalled brace 9. Closed the stove top / top of oven. 10. Plugged in.
