William B Sophia , NC February 14, 2026 Appliance: General Electric Washer GTW840CSN0WS Smart dispense tank low light stayed on even when tank was full I replaced the Level Sensor (sensor with three prongs that stick down into the detergent tank. If there's detergent in the tank, lift the lid off level and have a bucket ready to pour it into. There is a bolt that holds the tank in place hidden under the "funnel bezel" where you fill the tank. The funnel bezel just pops out. I think I used a 90 degree angled pick to pull it out. I also took all the wash station parts out and scrubbed the gunk off with a toothbrush and made sure water would flow through the black detergent feed hose. While you're in there, take the level sensing hose loose from the wash tub and blow air through it. I have had to clean it before and I got a lot of gunk out of it this time too. Read More...
