Description

This door lock module secures the washer door during operation and communicates door status to the control board. Replacing a failing lock restores safe cycle starts, consistent spinning, and proper unlocking when the cycle completes. What it does:

• Locks the door at the start of a cycle to prevent opening mid-wash
• "door closed/locked" so the control can fill, wash, and spin
• Releases the door when it's safe at the end of the cycle
• Common failure symptoms: washer won't start or spin, door won't lock/unlock, intermittent pausing, or a "door/lock" indicator on the display

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing; turn off water if you'll move the appliance
• Access the lock from the front by loosening the door boot clamp and removing the lock's mounting screws
• Label and transfer the wire connectors to the new module; reuse original hardware
• Refit the door boot fully and run a short test cycle to proper locking and release
