Don P Overland Park , KS July 09, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave JVM1870SF001 Would not heat It was a relative easy repair after realizing the easier route to getting the new magnitron in after removing the old one was to remove the transformer to gain better access. The plastic shield that wraps around two sides of the magnitron created a problem with the minimal clearance to the transformer so it became much easier by just removing the transformer. Also, there are 4 different types of screws in taking off the case and bottom panel so take pictures before disasembily and keep track of each type of screw/location. Good luck.
