Description

This magnetron is the high-voltage tube that generates the microwave energy used to heat food in compatible microwave ovens. Installing a new magnetron restores microwave heating when the tube has failed. What it does:

• Converts high-voltage electrical energy into microwave radiation to heat food
• Restores heating when oven powers up but does not heat or has weak heating
• Addresses humming, arcing/ sparks, or blown microwave fuses caused by a failed tube
• Works as the core microwave source; must be used with intact waveguide and protective cover

Install notes:

• High-voltage components retain lethal charge; disconnect power and discharge the capacitor before service
• Inspect and replace any damaged waveguide cover or high-voltage wiring when installing
