Description

This magnetron is the high-voltage microwave tube that generates the microwave energy used to heat food. Replacing a failed magnetron restores proper heating and cooking performance in compatible countertop and over-the-range microwaves. What it does:

• Converts high-voltage power into microwave energy so the oven can heat food
• Commonly linked to symptoms such as no heating, very weak heating, uneven heating
• May cause unusual humming, arcing sounds, or blown fuses when failing
• Works with the oven's high-voltage circuit and waveguide to deliver microwaves into the cavity
