Description

This magnetron generates the microwave energy that heats food in a microwave oven. Replacing a failing magnetron restores heating performance and stops most no-heat conditions caused by a bad high-voltage tube. What it does:

• Converts high-voltage power into microwave radiation that heats food.
• Common symptom: oven powers on but does not heat or heats weakly.
• May be replaced if there is loud humming, burning smell, arcing inside the cavity, or a repeatedly blown HV fuse.
• Works with the oven's waveguide and HV circuitry to deliver even cooking when functioning.
