David P Sarasota , FL June 11, 2019 Appliance: Model AVC48L1SS Range hood inoperative I ordered a control box, but that turned out not to be the problem, so I returned it. I then ordered, and installed a main circuit board, which fixed the issue. Anyone who attempts this repair should take several pictures of what plug goes where, in detail. before taking anything apart. There are a couple of plugs that can be incorrectly placed, if care is not taken. I marked my plugs before removing them from the old circuit board, as to their location (top, bottom, left, right, etc). Take care when disconnecting the plug in's from the main board, as the insulators can be broken if excessive force is used. There are 2 plastic wire "keepers" inside, at the top of the main board's box. They hold back the wires, so the plastic cover can be installed. You'll need to remove these 2 "keepers" to disconnect/reconnect the electrical plug in for the main board. After removing these "keepers", you can easily move the wires/plugs around to disconnect/reconnect them. Make sure to trip the breaker in the main electrical box before attempting the repair. There is also an on/off switch up inside the range hood itself. turn it to the off position before attempting the repair.
