Paul D Madisonville , LA April 11, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GFSL6KEXALS 8 year old GE refrigerator not cooling properly and icing up Followed the suggestions/advice of Appliance Parts Pros. Probably overkill but thats fine. i replaced the bimetal sensor, heater metal sheath and circuit board. A service technician wanted $500 labor plus parts which cost me about 500 with shipping. Im sure his would have been at retail. New box would have been $2400 plus tax and hassle. Looked at video and performed the plug and play transfer in about 45 minutes which included food and shelf removal and through cleaning. Good idea as some of those hidden goodies were three years old. Im no mechanic or technical wiz, but it was simple and box now works like new. Thank you!
