Description

The MOTOR & BLOWER ASSEMBLY is an OEM part for GE dryers. It contains both the drive motor that tumbles the dryer drum as well as the blower motor that circulates air through the heating system. This dual-component assembly works together to simultaneously tumble clothes while pushing heated air into the dryer cylinder.

Causes of a bad motor and blower assembly can include failures of either the drive motor or blower motor. Wiring issues or damaged components internal to the assembly housing can also impact performance.  

Symptoms of a bad motor & blower assembly include:

• The dryer drum not spinning or tumbling clothes
• Inadequate or no airflow through the dryer 
• Dryer not heating or cycles taking excessively long
• Loud buzzing or grinding noises from internal motors
