Ge WR17X12591 Door Mullion OEM Part

Removed top hinge screws. unplugged connection. removed bottom hinge. Plug in connection and install srews into hinges

My son had no trouble replacing both parts. He did need my help in holding the door steady and the mullion assembly in place while he connected the humidity control and placed the screws back in place.

I watched the video provided by Appliance Parts Pro on the replacement of the valve. The video was very informative and the replacement was very simple. Replacement of the mullion was even more simple and needed no instructional video. Appliance Parts Pro were extremely prompt in delivering the parts. My only complaint is with the manufacturer, GE, who designed and manufactured a plastic hinge for the mullion. The thin plastic hinge broke after normal wear and stress, and I had to purchase the entire mullion at over one hundred dollars due to a cheap twenty five cent piece of plastic.

I was so happy to find Appliancepartspros! I called and gave the rep my model number, he had me look up a detailed image of my refrigerator and showed me the part that I would need. It was in stock and it shipped to me in 2 days!! I was so surprised how easy this fix was and how helpful the representative was on the phone. I never expected to find the part, and have it in my hands so quickly! I will definitely contact Appliancepartspros next time any of my appliances need fixing! Bravo!
