Description

This compressor start kit provides the overload protector and PTCR starting device used to help refrigerator compressors start and protect against electrical overloads. It replaces failed start components to restore reliable compressor starting. What it does:

• Supplies a PTCR (positive temperature coefficient resistor) starter to give the compressor the initial starting boost.
• Includes an overload protector that helps prevent compressor damage from electrical overload or overheating.
• Common symptom linkage: may be needed when the compressor hums but won't start, the fridge cycles without cooling, or the compressor repeatedly clicks/trips.
• Works with compressors that use separate PTCR and overload start components.
