Description

This is a combined overload protector and PTCR (positive temperature coefficient resistor) start device that helps the compressor motor start and run properly. It provides the initial boost of current needed to start the compressor and protects it from overheating or electrical overload. Replace this part if the refrigerator is not cooling, the compressor won't start, or you hear clicking sounds as the compressor repeatedly tries and fails to turn on.
