George G San Antonio , TX October 06, 2021 GE wall oven control went blank. I called GE to verify the correct part number for the oven. I cross-reverenced it with Appliance Parts Pros and purchased it along with a new control overlay. The control panel housing was held on by two screws and was easily removed. The plastic clips on each side of the control that holds it in place were difficult to release, so it took a while to figure out how to remove them without damaging anything. Once removed, I took photos of the wiring to make sure I installed the new control correctly. After disconnecting the wiring on the old control and attaching the wiring to the new control it easily clipped in place. I purchased and installed a new Overlay (instead of trying to remove the old overly from the old Control), re-assembled the housing, and powered the oven. Bingo...the problem was solved and the oven was back in business. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
