Description

This assembly mounts on the refrigerator compressor and combines the PTC start relay with a thermal overload protector. It helps the compressor start reliably and cuts power if overheating occurs to protect the motor and maintain cooling performance.

• Supplies initial start current to the compressor via the PTC relay
• Opens on overcurrent/overheat to prevent compressor damage
• Common failure symptoms: compressor won't start, repeated clicking/buzzing from compressor area, warm refrigerator/freezer, short cycling
• Useful when the original start device is burned, cracked, or rattles when shaken

What's included: One PTC start relay with integrated overload protector Install notes:

• Disconnect power and allow the compressor area to cool before servicing
• Remove the terminal cover, note wire locations, and pull off the old start device
• Push the new start device fully onto the compressor pins and reconnect wires per the wiring diagram
• If your model uses a run capacitor, transfer/reconnect it as directed and reinstall the cover before restoring power
