Ge WR07X10097 Ptc Start Relay & Overload Protector Assembly (Compressor) OEM Part

We replaced the main circuit board and the LED started to work and the condenser fan worked, but all we had were relay clicking sounds, but no cooling. The compressor had become so hot trying to work when the main circuit board was amiss, that it had popped the over temperature sensor on its side. As some one point out, if you remove the PTC+OLP assembly with the capacitor on it, and shake it, you will hear a rattle inside---and that is bad. We ordered a second round of parts from AppliancePartsPros---the PTC+OLP Asm and the Run Capacitor, popped them on, and all is well! But two sub notes; the spring that holds the PTC+OLP unit on with the Capacitor was too big, and we had to bend it down to fit. Also, when the frig started back up, it required so much cooling to get to down to temperature that the compressor got strained and hot. Suggest having NO food in the frig and the ice maker off and cool it down in stages----such as 10f for freezer and 47 for frig, then keep nudging it down after it turns off at the set point and rests for a half an hour or hour. Or the other way of doing it is to leave the bottom panel off and blast the entire rear of the compressor and condenser with a large external fan for maximum cooling until it makes it all the way down to temperature and turns off at the set point. AppliancePartsPros was great on getting the parts to us on time, and the comments from others help guide us and encourage us to stay the course. We ended up spending perhaps 10% of what it would have cost us to replace the frig fixing it---a lot better for the pocket book and more ecological as well.

So, right before X-mas this year(2018) our GE Profile PFS22MISBWW started having issues maintaining freezer temp. The wife and I started to look for new Frig but with a kitchen remodel on the distant horizon we weren't very excited about buying a new one that may not fit with the as yet to be designed new kitchen. So, I Googled the issue and watched all of the APP videos that seemed to be relevant and went to work. First I tested all three thermistors; (1) in the Frig and (2) in the freezer using an OHM meter and a glass of ice water as instructed in an APP video. It was a PITA cuz the wire length for all but the one attached to the evaporator were very short and hard to get into a container of ice water. I didn't get the exact 16.3 k Ohms as the specs indicated but was within the +- 5% at about 15.5 k Ohms on each. My next thought was the mother board, but it looked and smelled good and obvious to me, had been replaced by a prior owner of the frig. Also, the Frig didn't seem to have some of the other bad MB symptoms that I had read about (dimming lights when dispensing water, etc.). So digging deeper, I read the issue might be the Run Capacitor or the P.t.c. + Olp Asm, so I purchased both from APP. Even being just days before X-mas the parts were on my door step in 2 days (Thanks APP!). I replaced the P.t.c. + Olp Asm first, using the old run capacitor and that seemed to do the trick and was going to call it good. But after reading a bit more into how a bad $39 run capacitor can really jack up a Frig I decided to install the new run capacitor for a little peace of mind. It's been about a week now and the Frig hasn't missed a beat, but as with all major appliance repairs and uncertainties, my fingers won't be uncrossed for at least another week. This is not my first time purchasing from APP and me not being a member of the disposable generation and "thinking" I'm somewhat handy, it won't be my last. Replaced the Run Capacitor and P.t.c. + Olp Asm

We subsequently ordered part no.wr07x10097 which was recommended by your company.At first we had some difficulty trying to figure out how that part would work because the original part we took off had two pieces,one was the relay and the other was the overload.Nevertheless your associates were very understanding and therefore were able to convince us in letting us know that the part we ordered did the same duties as our original.Thank you so much.So far every thing on our fridge/freezer is working fine.We have a French Door Bottom Freezer Refridgerator.We it seven years now.

Never fixed an appliance before. Researched some videos, purchased a mother board and start relay, start relay was clicking but the mother board brought it back to life, easy to replace ! Appliance parts pros fed ex'd new parts fast... Thanks
