Gary G Moore , SC June 24, 2017 Appliance: Model ZD1C150WBB D Ge ice machine zd1c150wbb d was not making ice Noticed that some terminals on the wiring harness were corroded and that no water was being pumped over the ice grid. Ice machine did get cold inside the compartment so it was not apparent that the compressor was bad. Ordered a Water Pump (from bin to ice grid) and a new wiring harness. Recirculating pump appeared to be okay. As I am not an experienced service tech (actually a Chemist) logic told me that my chances of success were high (not guaranteed though).. After replacing the parts (half the ice maker had to be dismantled to get to the harness - cut out the old one and installed the new one, an easier option than trying to pull the old) all hoses were reconnected and the unit was plugged in.. After ca. 2 hrs. ice was filling the bin. Lessons learned, remove door, top of unit and back panels for easy access. Be sure to unplug the ice grid connectors when moving the top for easy access to the harness. Use the cleaner/clean cycle before making/using good ice...
