John R Medina , OH February 20, 2016 Ge triton dishwasher didn't drain all the time finally quit draining all together Every now & then my old GE Triton dishwasher wouldn't completely drain.I had previously replaced the spring-loaded cone shaped drain valve in the back of the tub plus the check valve in the discharge hose.If your dishwasher is old like mine replace these as mine were shot. As per the owners manual to get it to drain you restart it then push & hold the start button 'til the lamp flashes & it should drain. This took care of the draining for awhile but last week it just wouldn't drain after 4 tries.. I had the kick panel off & I felt underneath to see if I could tell if the separate drain motor was working. It was VERY hot to the touch so I knew it was getting power(timer was good) I removed the pump, took it apart & cleaned it(it wasn't clogged up) I put power to it on the workbench & it worked but didn't sound good. I ordered the new motor & it arrived in just a day & a half!!! Great service!!! It took less than 20 mins. to install it. Problem solved!!!
