Description

This is a replacement glass range top manufactured by GE. Glass top stoves offer a smooth surface and are more aesthetically pleasing than old-style raised electric or gas burners. The ceramic/glass blend is also relatively durable, although it can be damaged in a number of ways. Dropping pots/pans on the glass will crack or break it. It can also be scratched by using cast iron pans with rough bottoms. If the glass top is cracked, badly scratched, or broken, it will need to be replaced. Operating the stove with substantial damage can be dangerous. To replace the top, first unplug the stove to avoid any potential accidents. Next, locate the screws that hold the nose to the oven body and remove them. Pull out on the stove top, and then remove the screws that hold the rear in place. This is the stovetop only – it does not include the heating elements.This genuine OEM part is sold individually. It fits GE and KitchenAid ovens.
