Description

The Range Maintop Glass Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for GE electric ranges. It consists of tempered glass precisely cut and treated to withstand high heat. This assembly serves as the durable cooking surface of the range.

Symptoms of a bad maintop glass assembly include:

• Improper heating or hot or cool spots on the glass surface
• Glare or visibility issues looking through the glass
• The glass making popping or cracking sounds during heating
• Difficulty keeping the surface clean despite regular cleaning

Causes of failure can be fatigue from repeated heating and cooling cycles, accidents like dropped cookware, or flaws in the glass. Over time, everyday use puts stress on the material that will eventually cause damage.

This genuine OEM GE part is compatible with Hotpoint, RCA and select Kenmore ranges.
