Description

This reed switch and harness assembly detects door open/closed positions and sends that signal to the appliance control. Replaces a worn or broken door sensor to restore reliable door status detection and related functions. What it does:

• Closes or opens the circuit when the door magnet is nearby so the control knows the door is open or closed
• Commonly replaces a failed door sensor causing interior lights to stay on or controls to ignore door position
• Also used when dispenser or chime functions behave intermittently due to a lost door signal
• Wired harness provides the OEM-style connector for direct swap-in replacement
