Description

This reed switch and magnet assembly senses door open/close to tell the appliance when to turn lights on and control door-activated features. It replaces a failed door sensor to restore proper door detection. What it does:

• Acts as the door sensor: magnet closes the reed switch when the door is shut.
• Controls interior light and other door-activated functions by signaling open/closed status.
