John S Long Beach , CA February 01, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GFSS2HCYCSS Refrigerator not running and no display on temperature adjustment panel The refrigerator lights were on so I know power was present. I have had trouble with GE circuit boards before so I ordered the main board and the panel display board. They came in from Appliance Parts Pros as promised. Installed the panel display, took about 5 minutes. Then removed the back cover and installed the main board. Plugged the unit in and the panel was now flashing 2 0’s. Moved the freezer to 5 and the compressor started and ran. Moved the refrigerator adjustment to 5 also. Everything went back to normal. Fridge is cooling perfectly. Took total of an hour because I vacuumed the condenser coils while the fridge was pulled away from the wall. Very happy, can get another 10 years running hopefully. John H Semi Valley , CA July 09, 2018 Appliance: General Electric General Electric GFSF2HCYHWW Main board failure Since this has happened on two other occasions I decided to fix it myself. I replaced the main board but I still need to replace the evaporator motor. The motor is the most likely cause for the board failures. GE technicians are worthless and never fully eliminated the problem so thanks to Appliance Parts Pros I can do it myself!
