Description

This compressor start relay helps power the refrigerator compressor during startup to restore normal cooling. It replaces a failed relay to help the compressor begin running when the fridge calls for cooling. What it does:

• Provides the initial power boost to the compressor motor so it can start under load
• Commonly linked to symptoms such as humming or clicking noises, compressor not starting, or the refrigerator not cooling
• Works with the compressor's start circuitry to engage the motor at the proper time
• Passive electrical component—does not include overload protector or start capacitor
