Dorothy W Cape May , NJ April 01, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DSXH43EA0WW Broken knobs I ordered these for my mother who lives in Cape May, NJ, two hours away from me. When down there this past Easter, the knob that turned on the dryer broke. Unfortunately these knobs were not easy to get. The big box stores said they could order them but it would take 2 weeks. She was very upset and needed to do laundry. Unfortunately I had to go home before the knobs arrived (less than two days after I ordered them!) My mother is 84, lives alone since my father passed, and is almost blind in one eye due to a cancerous tumor many years ago. It's hard for her to see, and she's not mechanically inclined. When the knobs arrived at her house, she called me. Over the phone I told her there's a flat side and a rounded side,and to match the flat side of the switch with the flat side on the knob I told her to press the firmly but gently. She had no problem.
