The only thing I had trouble was to get the screws required to fix. The screws were not available, so spend too much time trying find equivalent screws in homedepot. Roberto T Wading River , NY March 07, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JB988TK3WW Ooven light cup damaged the indent for light cover retainer broke during removal to replace burt bulb Replaced with new part. Step one is to unplug oven from power (or turn off power from breaker box). When doing this job you mast also replace the oven light gasket. It prudent but not necessary to replace the screws. Getting the light cover retainer and lamp cover assembly was only precautionary and not needed for repair. When taking off old oven light cup, particular care needs to be used in disconnecting power terminals as they are easy to snap, if this occurs there is very little room to replace terminal and may require more extensive repair work. Under optimal conditions this is a 5 min job. Removing the oven door makes the job easier but is not necessary. Read More...
