Lawrence W Ellicott City , MD April 25, 2017 Eroor code 3 The GE web site showed that the error code, which appeared and shut off my wall oven frequently, was probably a bad sensor. I located the model number and part number and ordered the new sensor. The installation was somewhat difficult because the oven had to be completely removed from the cabinet and the oven back removed. Unlike igniters which can be replaced from inside the oven, sensor wires can't be reached without complete removal of the oven from the wall. The new sensor part, unlike the old one, did not come with an electrical connector, just loose wires. I was able to remove the old sensor, cut the old wire and splice in the new sensor wires using very small ceramic wire nuts. Oven removal and reinstallation is definitely a two person job.
