William P Joplin , MO September 30, 2019 Evaporator fan motor died as did the defrost tube and the plastic bottom shelf was broken Honestly, the hardest part was cleaning the freezer out and keeping track of which screws went with what.. Once I had it cleaned out and removed the ice maker and back panel removed, removing the ice took a bit, but with a blow dryer it melted away pretty quickly. I placed an old towel in the track so the ice would melt into the towel and not all over the inside of the freezer compartment. Once dry removed the fan motor and replaced it first and then changed the defrost heater. Videos online were a HUGE help. I kind of already knew what to expect when I got in there. Replacing everything kinda fell into place once it was all back together I turned the power back on and all seems to be working correctly now. Thanks, AppliancePartsPros! Read More...
