Description

This surface burner spark electrode creates the electric arc that lights the gas at the burner. Replacing a worn electrode restores consistent, reliable ignition.

• Generates a high-voltage spark at the burner head to ignite gas
• Helps ensure quick, repeatable lighting when the knob is turned to Lite
• Common symptoms: burner won't light, intermittent or weak spark, delayed ignition, lights only with a match
• If other burners spark normally, the affected burner's electrode is a common culprit

• Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing
• Handle the ceramic insulator carefully to avoid cracking
• Match the new electrode's tip position and gap to the original; transfer mounting hardware as needed
• Route the ignition wire away from heat/sharp edges, ensure a firm connection, then reassemble and test ignition
