No tools were needed to install the spring and liner, but it did take a little patience to get it installed. BTW, I ordered the part from Appliance Pro's in the evening and received it in the mail two days later. They were incredibly fast! They were excellent and one of only two or three places on the internet that carried the correct parts. Mike T Auburn , GA April 09, 2017 Spring broke on the french door refrigerator. Put the spring in. When the spring broke for the refrigerator, the little piece that is attached to the big door. I was upset. Had to use 2 hands to close the door. I thought there has to be a replacement part. I googled the refrigerator model number and found a few companies online. I went to the GE site first but there part was too expensive. I found this company, site appliancepartspros.com. It was easy to use, price was good and the part came in 2 days. I can't imagine having a service tech come out and charge $$$ to do a repair that almost anyone can do!
