Alane W Saranac , MI June 04, 2014 On my ge range the one big burner would only work at 7 or hotter I replaced the element control. It was kind of difficult to get the right part as they are different for the small burners than the big one and every schematic I found online did not indicate that clearly. They showed two different part numbers but didn't indicate which was which. It almost appeared that they were interchangeable. I would advise pulling the element control and getting that part number. It was different than either posted on this site, but when I typed it in the search, it did bring up the correct part. Also, the replacement part was wired in a different configuration than the original, so a little adjustment was needed. Important **** draw yourself a picture of where/how the wires are connected, by color before you disconnect. That way you will know what goes where, even if the config is different on the new part.
