Description

This limit switch is a small position-sensing microswitch used in the oven door lock system. It tells the control when the latch is open or closed so the door can lock/unlock correctly and self-clean can run safely.

• Detects the oven door latch position and sends an on/off signal to the control
• Helps prevent self-clean from starting unless the latch is in the correct position
• Common symptoms: door won't lock or unlock, self-clean won't start or cancels, "lock door"/F9-style lock errors
• Restores proper latch feedback so the control knows when the door is locked

• Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
• Access the door lock/latch assembly; note wire positions and orientation of the old switch
• Transfer wires one at a time and mount the new switch in the same orientation so the actuator engages the latch cam
• After reassembly, verify latch operation before starting a self-clean cycle
