John M Winder , GA November 11, 2014 Micro switch had gone bad causing fan to run when you turned on the burner It required that you take off the top of the stove. The micro switch is between the inside pan for the burners and the outer frame that holds the complete stove top in place. The removal of the screws and nuts that hold the switch in place was not to bad, but you had to make sure that the nuts did not drop down into the outer pan. The replacement of the nuts and screw was a pain. You are working blind trying to put the screws thru the micro switch and then having to line up the nuts to go on the screws. As stated above there is only a few inches between the inter pan and the outer pan so you can not tell see the normal alignment of the screws and nuts.
