Description

This thermodisc temperature switch senses refrigerator evaporator temperature and helps control defrost and cooling cycles to prevent overcooling or prolonged defrost runs. It's a compact replacement part for temperature regulation systems. What it does:

• Opens or closes an electrical circuit based on temperature to signal defrost or compressor control
• Helps stop defrost heater when the evaporator reaches target temperature
• Can prevent extended cooling cycles when the sensed temperature indicates the system has reached desired cold
• Restores normal cycling when a failed thermostat causes continuous run or no cooling
