Description

This dryer inlet thermostat monitors the temperature of incoming air and cycles the heater to maintain proper drying temperatures. Replacing a failed thermostat can restore consistent heat, help prevent overheating, and improve overall drying performance.

• Senses inlet air temperature and opens/closes electrical contacts to control the heat source
• Helps regulate drying temperature and protect against overheating
• Failure may present as long dry times, no or intermittent heat, overheating/shutting off, or erratic temperature swings
• Typically mounted on the air intake/duct or blower housing, depending on model

What's included: 1 inlet thermostat Install notes:

• Disconnect power before service; if gas, also shut off the gas supply
• Access the thermostat at the front duct or blower housing; note wire positions and transfer one at a time
• Mount flush against the metal surface with existing hardware to ensure proper sensing
• After installation, clear lint from ducting and vents to ensure proper airflow
