Jason A Orlando , FL July 20, 2015 Appliance: Model GE PROFILE REFRIGERATOR Blown transformer for led light fixture in ge profile fridge I tested the LED light first with a meter and determined no voltage and did some searching online and found that there was a transformer that powers the light. I located the part and had too remove two other parts to get to the transformer. I again tested the transformer with a meter to determine there was no output voltage. I ordered the part and waited. Once it new part got in I plugged it in and confirmed the light now worked however, I noticed the new part had a slightly different metal mounting bracket and it would not fit (holes didn't line up). I remove the electronics from the new part and from the old part and moved the new parts into the old bracket. This was an extra step that I should have not had to do if this was really a drop in replacement parts. I also determined that the old PCB was still good and only the transformer was bad. I wish these part was sold separately since it would have been a lot less to replace just this.
