Terry C Durham , NC February 16, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator CTX21DIBRRWW Had a cracked plastic ice maker inlet water tube that flooded part of kitchen floor Replaced original (18 yrs.) 1/4" plastic tubing, clamp and grommet (AppliancePartsPros/GE parts) from outlet of ice maker water control valve to ice maker inlet. Also replaced water supply line to inlet of water control valve with new, GE braided, PEX 1/4" supply line with pre-attached female compression fittings on both ends. Repair job with AppliancePartsPros parts from outlet of water control valve went perfectly well, was simple, and had no leaks when tested. Parts were easy to install, especially after watching appropriate repair video for my model. These YouTube videos with direct links to repair parts needed as VERY HELPFUL! Thanks! Irvin C Spotsylvania , VA December 16, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator TFH24PRSMWW No ice in ice bin and some slight leaking around grommet Replaced icemaker first; still no ice. (note, the icemaker comes with a pigtail cord extender/adapter that makes it a bit cumbersome to fit cord behind icemaker but finally figured it out). Then checked ohms across water valve electrical prongs (after disconnecting power); showed less than 350 ohms when should be above 500. Replaced water valve and grommet (required removing icemaker again). Found grommet and inlet tubing plugged up with ice. After reinstalling everything, ice started producing and bin was over half full next morning. New icemaker only has 7 cubes whereas original had eight so this one is a bit slower. Only problem was that first water valve kit was missing one of the prongs that convert from 3/16 inch to 1/4 inch as new design had changed from the original electrical connection on the valve. Appliance Parts Pros sent new valve and prongs immediately and I got it in less than 2 days. I was still able to operate refrigerator while awaiting parts as inspected kit and found the missing part issue before attempting to install the valve.
