Description

This vaporizer pan and drip tray assembly fits refrigerators. When the freezer automatically defrosts, meltwater must be moved out. It empties out of a drain line into the drain pan/drip tray. The vaporizer portion of the assembly then helps to evaporate the water. Made from stainless steel, it resists corrosion and damage, but prolonged use may result in rust. Eventually, it will need to be replaced.The most common sign that the drip tray and vaporizer pan need to be replaced is visible water leaking from under the refrigerator, or the drain line backing up into the freezer. Replacement will require accessing the bottom of the refrigerator. Unplug it from the power, then locate the four bolts that hold it in place. Use a ratchet and socket to remove the bolts, and then install the new pan assembly.This is a genuine OEM part. It is sold individually, and is designed to work with GE refrigerators.
