Mary H Boonsboro , MD February 07, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GSD580P-49BA Our ge dishwasher model gsd580p49ba was not fully cleaning dishes after washing. we kept finding grainy food particles and debris deposited all over the dishes We removed the spray arm from the Spray Arm Hub and Support Assembly (GE part WD22X126) and discovered that the Check Valve (GE part WD1X5488), which prevents dirty water from flowing back into the tub, was missing completely. Replacement was very easy - the soft rubber valve pushes into position from the inside of the Support Assembly. We also found that the Plastic Thrust Washer (GE part WD3X766) inside the center of the Spray Arm Hub had eroded considerably, so we replaced that as well. Read More...
