Ge WD15X10015 Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve OEM Part

Saw the same problem described by other users. The part was very reasonably priced, so I took a chance that it was the cause of the problem. Part showed up within 2 days ! I installed it same day, and turned on the dishwasher.... and it worked ! Great to have my dishwasher back. Appliance pro's is awesome ! //Greg

Replaced the water valve

New water valve.

I used the problem finder, option, which identified two possible solutions - either a failed flood switch (45%) or pump (55%). Removing the old flood switch it was pretty grungy, so was 90% sure that was the issue, but I ordered both anyway, Sure enough, the new one fixed it right away, so I have a spare pump. No problem, as it was worth the peace of mind of not waiting another day or two for the right part and paying shipping costs twice. The video was very helpful, My repair was complicated by the amount of deposit around the switch housing and filter area that had to be cleaned off, arising from an earlier problem with the dispenser dumping the washing fluid into the bottom of the machine. A 1/4" nut driver (preferably magnetic) and needle nose pliers make the job easy. Watch out that the rubber O ring doesn't come off & slide down over the cable. I had to remove the front kick plate and push it back up from underneath, pull it out with pliers and put it back on to the base of the switch. Key learning - don't wiggle the switch too much. Use some spit to lubricate the O ring, push the switch straight in and use the screws on the mounting ring to evenly seat the assembly. Put the rest together and voila!
