Jim J Lorraine , KS July 10, 2020 Defective dishwasher water intake pump. Only two screws hold the mount of the pump in the lower left near the floor. Easy access by removing the front covers then remove the two mounting screws to the pump assy. Then remove the intake and output hoses. I noticed on the new pump a male hose bib on the intake. Supplied with the dishwasher was the smooth intake water tube. Best to not reuse this supplied hose. It just won't clamp tight enough for a good seal. Cut a portion from a garden hose the same size as the intake valve bib (3/4"). Screw it on snug to the pump and hose clamp the other end to the disposal. Turn on the water supply to check for any leaks then install the covers to complete the job. Read More...
