Description

The spark plug cap spring is an important part of a handheld outdoor appliance’s ignition system. The spark plug makes a small electrical arc between two bits of wire, causing the ignition to combust, leading to the engine turning. But, to make sure there is good contact with the lead, you need a working spark plug cap spring. The spring holds the cap and plugs in place to ensure everything is grounded. With spark plugs, oil or carbon can build up in an aging engine and cause problems. If oil gets into the spark plug cap, the spring can come loose and the spark plug won’t work.
