Description

The insulator acts as a protective cover that secures onto the carburetor to keep it safe from the heat coming off of the engine block. The insulator is made of a durable compound material to offer the best protection possible. Through use, the insulator can crack or become damaged. This will let air get into the engine, creating lean conditions that can cause engine problems as time goes on. If this happens, the insulator will need to be replaced. This can be done by removing the air filter, draining the fuel, and removing the intake assembly. Remove the insulator from the engine before installing the new replacement insulator. Thread the mounting screws through the air cleaner case and bracket, so it fits flush against the case. Reinstall the other components before use. This is a genuine OEM insulator for Echo, Mantis, and Little Wonder trimmers, water pumps, hedge trimmers, tillers, pole saws, and edgers. It is sold as an individual component, and a screwdriver will be needed to make the replacement.
